The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. The Global Goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

In Season 5, we sit down with stakeholders working across numerous sectors and industries, to find a common language to address, measure and demonstrate the impact that they are making in tackling the 17 Global Goals.

From Berlin to Sydney, from Seoul to Hong Kong, our #impact hosts will bring you stories from all over the globe as you find inspiration on how to make an #impact in your community too.

WASTE IS NOT WASTE UNTIL IT’S WASTED.

A former #impact guest that inspires us in how she tackles the Sustainable Development Goals is Dr Christina Dean, Founder of the environmental NGO Redress that is working to reduce waste in the fashion industry.  Born out of Redress, Christina also founded The R Collective, a social impact upcycled fashion brand.

REDUCING WASTE IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY.

Sustainable Development Goal 12 focuses on ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns.

The Redress team has been tirelessly tackling this goal since more than a decade.

CONSUMER CHANGE IS REALLY AT THE HEART OF EVERYTHING.

This conversation with Christiana first aired on #impact in April 2017, it was the first #impact Podcast recording in front of a live audience and it left a mark on everyone that was in that room with us that day and the listeners that got to hear the story on our channel.

Christina made us all rethink how we look at fashion and what we can all do to take action towards consuming more sustainably.
