In Season 5, we sit down with stakeholders working across numerous sectors and industries, to find a common language to address, measure, and demonstrate the impact that they are making in tackling the 17 Global Goals.

From Berlin to Sydney, from Seoul to Hong Kong, our #impact hosts bring you stories from all over the globe as you find inspiration on how to make an #impact in your community too.

As the Gili Eco Trust Coordinator and Project Manager, Delphine Robbe is involved in implementing some impressive biorock technology to create coral nurseries underwater which help restore and rehabilitate the coral reefs.

After coming to Gili Trawangan (the largest of the three Gili Islands) to become a scuba diving instructor in the early 2000s, Delphine noticed the bad state and poor treatment of the reefs and got involved with the Trust to educate fishermen and help the Gili Islands develop a more sustainable tourism industry.

Delphine’s leadership and involvement with the Gili Eco Trust reaches beyond marine conservation, and includes waste management of the island landfill and animal welfare for the island’s horses and cats. Gili Eco Trust runs a range of interesting and valuable marine conservation courses and eco-education tours for tourists and school groups.
