The recording features Célia Berkouk-Schlesier from Just Campagne and Lulla Hokholt from Eaton House.

This Behind the Scenes Special is all about the moment the idea for the first live Podcast recording was born, and what happened after.
It was a sunny day in early March this year, one of the first days I felt I could leave my jacket at home. From the moment Sarah Fung, Founder of HULA, opened the door to her studio, I was blown away by her warm personality, her vision and her modesty.

After interviewing with Sarah, discussing the enormous waste that the textile industry produces, I left her beautiful studio filled with colourful pre-loved designer garments so incredibly inspired. Sarah’s story is featured in Episode #14. Listen here

After I left Sarah’s office, I recorded this.

During the interview, Sarah mentioned this amazing woman, Christina Dean, who founded Redress, an environmental NGO inspiring a new generation of responsible designers. Sarah connected me with Christina, and the rest is history.

In a bit less than two weeks Christina Dean will feature as a guest on #impact Podcast, the very first recording of this Podcast in front of a live audience.

There are a million things to prepare leading up to this event and I am grateful to have so much support in my network.

  • The amazing collaboration partners from Redress, Hula and Givo that help to spread the word and so much more.
  • Eaton House, this gorgeous venue, in Central Hong Kong and their events and marketing manager Lulla Hokholt who made hosting this event possible in the first place.
  • And last but not least, my good friend Célia Berkouk-Schlesier, who connected me to Sarah from Hula what triggered this wonderful chain reaction of awesomeness and who has been part of this Podcasting adventure from day 1. It was also her who let me practise my first recording in preparation for my interview with Sue Toomey, Executive Director at HandsOn Hong Kong, the accidental first guest of #impact Podcast.
