“I am trying to spark more conversations”

We get a chance to hear Adelaide’s experience as a student lead at Peace of Mind and the perspectives shared by her students and teachers at school about the organisation. “It’s time to normalize mental health conversation”

She also shares bold commentary on life as an Asian student, the pressures she faced and the demanding tasks posed by school systems. We learn how difficult it is to be a student taking on the world during the pandemic and the unrealistic expectations given to the current generation.

“At the end of the day, you just need to focus on your own health and wellbeing first and then when you are better you can make up for it”

Mental Health Stigma

Mental health stigma and the spectrum of dealing with one’s well being is also discussed by Adelaide, as she says that making critical decisions for yourself matters more than the perception of others.
